Laughter

Humor is infectious in the best way...there's no medicine like roaring amongst friends. Laughter binds us together positively. It protects us from stress and triggers health in our physical bodies.

Laughter protects the heart by improving the function of blood vessels increasing blood flow. Giggling can boost immunities and improve your resistance to disease. It decreases stress hormones and triggers a release of "feel good" chemicals and endorphins.

Ever notice how relaxed you feel after laughing with someone? Ever notice how when you laugh at yourself, it releases pain or guilt? We take ourselves way too seriously and laughing helps balance mood and adds zest to any relationship. Laughing is attractive, right? Yes! Yes! Yes!

Some ways to welcome and embrace more laughter in your life:

Share funny stories with friends.

Have GAME night with your partner, family, or friends

Play with a child

Play with a pet

Go to a comedy club

Create space for fun activities like karaoke, mini-golf, bowling, laser tag, etc

Read a funny book. Chelsea Handler or Amy Poehler are great fun authors.

Be more spontaneous

Release Inhibitions and LAUGH it up!

Jalapeno Poppers! Nummy: snip the tops off a dozen jalapeño peppers. I slit one side before putting anything in. I love putting homemade garlic bread crumbs whipped into cream cheese. Toss it together in a food processor or vitamix and then use a butter knife to wedge into the pepper. Bake your lovely hot green jalapeños at 350 in foil for about 20 minutes. I love these in the grill or in the green egg but baking them is perfect too!
