Yesterday, amongst many wonderful loving true friends, I sailed my first Regatta. I had tremendous (merited) anxiety leading up to getting on the boat...self talk, FEAR...Yachta Yachta Yachta!;) thinking..."I have no idea what I'm doing, I don't belong in a sailing race, what if I fall off, what if we crash, what if what if what if"...but then I thought WHAT IF I SAIL THE RACE AND LOVE IT! What if I conquer my fear and channel my strength and mark off something fantastic on my bucket list...and guess what y'all....this yogi loves to sail...I'm hooked! Lifer! Signed sealed delivered, I'm yours...Ocean!
As intimidating as it was, I felt alive, curious, fierce, strong and ready to coast through whatever those waves sent my way. I looked around at all the support and literally reached for a hand several times when I needed it or felt uneasy. The energy was radiant and I still feel it in my bones.
I feel grateful to the amazing crew who graciously and lovingly made my first experience so full and positive. Thank you BC & JB for having me this weekend. I feel so lucky, loved and proud to have friends like you. I leave feeling refreshed, renewed, revived and READY for my next wave!
Namaste, Beacon Rock, ohhhhh how I love thee and beautiful IRIE 2...see you next year❤️⛵️😍✌🏻️
